How are the placements for B.Tech mechanical engineering in LPU?

Hi there, LPU is famous for its placements, more than 700 companies are regular recruiters from the campus every year. From Trident which offered 15 LPA to Emeryll to Forbes Marshall which offered 6 lacs of package, students get a whole lot of placement opportunities depending upon their domains and CGPA as well as their interests. Many students in Mechanical stream also opt for further studies for their career prospects in research and faculty positions. With the course outcomes like following; the students are bound to become industry ready: 1 : Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learning from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools. 2 : Ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. 3 : Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using basic understanding of Thermodynamics, Heat transfer and Fluid Mechanics. 4 : Demonstrate the ability to propose cost effective optimized solutions using simulated environment of Computer aided design, computer aided manufacturing and computer aided engineering. Talking about placements records, students of School of mechanical Engineering got selected in Honda Ltd, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Tech Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, BHEL, L&T, Siemens, Reliance, John Deer, Appeal group, Asahi Glass India Ltd, Cognizant, Anglo Eastern Ship Mgmt, Zycus, Think and Learn, Cactus Communications, XL Dynamics, Lava International, Unisys, Jet Airways, ELG, Daikin Air-conditioning, Honda, Voltas, TATA motors, Cummins India and the list is really on. Students of School of Mechanical Engineering also got selected in many MNCs with an average package of 5 to 55 lakhs. Manoj, placements are very good. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. The University has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Engineering programmes are the heart of any institution and so is of LPU. There is no point to compare because every organisation is just doing good at their places but yes I have heard alot about LPU because of its good number of years of establishment and the rankings it possess. Last year my friend wanted to admit his son in good engineering institute. After lot of inquiry, we decided to opt for LPU. As we all know that B. Tech Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves production, designing, and operations of machines and the main objective of LPU is to prepare students for applying the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. LPU provides the different areas under study such as Applied Mechanics, Machine Design, Materials Engineering, manufacturing Engineering and many more. The Mechanical Department of LPU has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The Department has to its credit more than 100 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference. Last year, one of the students gets placed for INR. 21 lacs, but it was out campus placement average salary offered to mechanical engineer is around INR. 4 lacs, and if you are having good skills in your field, then you will surely get placed with good package.
