Hi Chinmoyee, placements for marketing and HR are good in PUMBA. We have many companies for final placements as well as summer internships in PUMBA for marketing. Also some good names for HR. All depends on your competency. This year placements are slow as it started in October but still the placement season will continue till March. Placements in marketing are better than HR.
I hope you find this needful.

Placements are one of the strengths of PUMBA.
For both the specialization you can get good placements with good profile package and company if you are competent enough.

Placements have been a rather slow this year. Started in October, placements for marketing have been very good so far with a majority of the marketing batch getting placed. Although only 5 from a batch of 12 (who opted for placements) from HR have been placed. Placement season is still on and rest of the students are expected to get placed by March end.

The placement for marketing and HR both are good. In marketing you will get big brand as well as medium and small industries but with a handsome salary package. In HR you will mostly get big brand industries and the package comparatively less than marketing. The average package you will get will be around Rs 6 to 7 LPA.

Hello Chinmoyee , congratulations you are definitely going to get PUMBA with your score. Do follow all the dates and admission process as per the DTE MBA website. Speaking about placement marketing has better placement as compared to HR. So do opt for marketing. Thanks and regards.

    Hello Chinmoyee,
The placement season report is yet to be declared. As far as 2017 placements are concerned, marketing has about 60% of placements and HR was the least upto 10%. Most of the students opted for marketing as their major.

PUMBA placements are solid—95% placed, average pay around Rs 9–9.4 LPA, and some students (top 10%) land sweet deals up to Rs 15 LPA. And yes, Rs 16 LPA has been the top package. But a heads-up: opportunities in finance or internships can be hit-or-miss depending on your batch. Still, overall it gives a good ROI if you're proactive.”
