how are the placements for marketing and operations? can an Engineering fresher expect to earn around 8-9 lakh ?

There is a possibility of that happening but a very minute one. The average for fresher is around 6-7. But if the company likes the candidate then its possible. It all boils down to how well the candidate answers the questions asked by the interviewers. placement for ops is good as all students from ops got placed. marketing is doing well as well. HR is having a tough time this year.
