How are the placements for mechanical engineering in VIT, Vellore? What is the average placement for the same?

Hello Jakhar, VIT university tops the list of the rankings among the private universities as per NIRF rankings 2017. (7th position after all IITs). Mechanical engineering is not really good in terms of placements at VIT university except the main campus(Vellore)but you can study it in Vellore as many core companies are coming for recruitment. So you need not worry about it. The only thing is you need to decide whether you can pay the category 3 fees at VIT University ( around Rs 4 -5 lakhs per annum including hostel). I think it is not worthy to pay the much fees and study at VIT. If you are talented and can study well then you can surely join there. VIT offers many student friendly programmes so that you can gain more knowledge. You must work hard and try to be better than your counterparts then you can get job with a good salary. only in Vellore you can study mechanical. if you get other campuses then please don't go. If you get mechanical, then opt only Vellore campus. All the best!
