For CSE, LPU is often preferred by many because of the number of companies visiting and the overall placement exposure it offers compared to SRM. From what I've seen, LPU has a wide range of recruiters, so there are usually more chances during placements. SRM, especially the main campus, also has good placements. Personally, it feels like both colleges provide opportunities, but LPU gives a bit more flexibility and chances because of the scale. At the same time, results in either place still depend a lot on skills and preparation.

I'm not familiar with SRM, but as an LPU alum, I'd want to offer LPU's placement information. LPU is a good place to look for recruits. Cognizant has recruited 1900+ students from the LPU campus over the previous three years and has been named India's premier talent company Aspiring Minds' Most Employable Students two years in a row. There are few colleges in the south that can claim of such impressive records. A division called the Division of Career Services oversees placements at LPU. This group assists students in gaining relevant work experience to supplement their education and build necessary skills and expertise. LPU has one of the best placement histories in India, which is why students flock to the university to get placed. LPU alumni are working for prominent brands like as Google and Microsoft, with salaries of 1 crore and above. Right from Google to Microsoft, LPU alumni are working with the top brands at the package of 1 crore and above. Annually, more than 450 brands come to LPU to recruit the students, where 90% of them are MNCs. Moreover, 800+ companies that recruit from IITs and NITs also recruit from LPU. Hi, Both the universities are doing equal efforts for the placements but LPU is far ahead of SRM now. CSE is considered to be the flagship programme of LPU. Thousands of LPU students have got placed in top MNCs and are working all over the Globe. The highest Package Availed by Engineering (CSE) Student MS Tanya Arora is 42 LPA for batch 2020 by Microsoft. Even pandemic doesn't stop LPU from getting the students placed. Every company conducted online tests and interviews, and the students were informed prior about the same. I must say that LPU nailed this time also if I talk about the placements. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. If you work hard in the course and learn as much as you can, any company visiting the campus would be happy to hire you. However, you must not neglect polishing your communication skills as well, because companies will check that in their interviews. LPU provides plenty of opportunities to its students to take part in events, competitions, fests in order to let them grow their personality and give them a chance to polish their skills. Around 550+ companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU. And this year for batch graduating in 2020, already more than 650 placement/internship drives have been conducted till February 2020 with leading industry giants (more than 90% being MNCs). Recently, Tania Arora, a fourth-year B.Tech CSE student of Lovely Professional University (LPU) got selected as a software engineer in Microsoft with a huge salary package of Rs 42 Lacs per annum.
