How are the placements in SVNIT for civil engineering?

SVNIT Surat provides M.Tech specialisation in a wide range of core branches of engineering starting with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Science etc. Every branch is designed to have higher studies together with research possibilities. One will select the branch position in accordance to the qualifying degree and GATE paper of the candidate. The admissions will be made on availability and merit.

Admission to SVNIT Surat M.Tech is done through valid GATE score, and CCMT counselling. Students are to apply online and take part in the centralized process. Seat allotment is made on basis of rank, preferences, and availability of seats. Enrollment is strictly Merit-based and entrance-motivated.

The candidates to participate on the M.Tech programme at SVNIT Surat should possess a degree of BE/BTech/B.Arch in the pertinent subject. They must obtain a minimum of 60 papers or 6.5 CGPA, and the reserve to 55 or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD students. All categories are required to have a valid GATE score.

The candidates should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. It is required to have minimum 75 percent aggregate (65 percent in case of SC/ST candidates). They should also possess a valid score in JEE Main.

SVNIT Surat provides BTech in six areas viz. Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. There is also an opportunity to pursue an integrated course of Dual Degree (BTech + MBA). Every specialisation is developed to offer excellent training and knowledge. Its curriculum is industry oriented and approved by AICTE.
