Hey there, According to the information that I gathered from my friends, internet and personal experience I came to know that the scene is not as expected in the placement session of Biotechnology. DTU is one of the best technological universities in India and of course the placement opportunities are very good, but keeping the core courses in mind. Biotechnology is not a core branch, hence placement opportunities are not up to the mark, but if you are good in that field which you are studying, no one can stop you from getting selected in campus placements. The faculty of biotechnology is highly qualified and supportive. Labs are decent too. According to the 2017 placement session, the average package of biotech was 3.5-4 LPA. Many pharma companies visit DTU to recruit students from Biotechnology branch, but only few are able to fetch a job for themselves. Overall, the placements for Biotechnology are really screwed up. So, if you are aiming for a job after graduation then Biotechnology is not for you, avoid this branch and try to get any other core branch. I hope this will help you in selecting the course.

I can say Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. If you re looking for quality education, good placements, exposure, academics then LPU is right place, it has all. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. She told me LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences is equipped with state-of-the-art Bioprocess Engineering and Bioscience labs and believes in imparting knowledge to students through a practical approach to achieve mastery in plant and animal physiology. Faculty members works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Bio sciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community. According to my known, the views shared by her are: Live projects spread across five semesters help develop research aptitude in students. The course offers specializations in Dairy Technology, Fermentation Technology and Bioinformatics. The curriculum offers prime focus on fundamental and applied aspects of biotechnology. The school encourages R & D activities for students to get the benefit. Many students from LPU have successfully collaborated with foreign universities and research institutions. The deptt also inculcates entrepreneurship opportunities to build job providers of the future. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too. LPU has highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, and NITs etc. Companies like Panacea biotech, Dalmia healthcare, Root anaylsis, Cactus (and the list goes on) visit the campus every year. With an experienced faculty of 30+ in the department who arw ready to help the students round the clock, seven days a week, this institute is one of the best options for the young population to opt for biotechnology.

Delhi Technological University is one of the best engineering colleges of India. It ranks in top 10 engineering colleges of India. It is very well known for its great infrastructure faculties with the knowledge and experience in teaching as well as facilities provided by them are very good like Labs Sports Complex canteen Wi-Fi, etc. There are many courses offered by Delhi Technological University out of which biotechnology is one of the course in which it or it offers about 116 to the students. Delhi Technological University provides students of biotechnology labs equipped with better machines instruments to achieve and do experiments on plants food, etc. students of biotechnology in Delhi Technological University do research and publish the research in research papers and Research magazines by writing articles and their ideas. Placement of biotechnological students in Delhi Technological University is just about average way to lack of biotechnological related companies. Average package offered to biotechnological student is about 3 to 4 LPA which is offered by non-core companies. DTU is one of the reputed engineering colleges in India. Every year lakhs of students try getting admission here. According to the National Institute Ranking Framework, Delhi Technological University was ranked 39th in India and around 3rd in Delhi. DTU is well known among recruiters and provides decent placements to its students. Last time total 17 offers were made in total for Biotech students. The exact placement stats aren't released by DTU publicly. The average package is around 6-7 LPA for Biotech. Companies like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Future First, NTPC, Gail, EIL, TRAI and Schlumberger are regular recruiters at DTU. So the placements seem to be good at DTU.

Placement is quite good here for Biotechnology Branch. The drawback faced is very few core companies participating here. Biocon is said to be mass recruiter for Biotechnology Specialization. The average package lies in the range of 4-6LPA CTC. Companies like Amazon, Zomato, Pepperfry, Cisco, Oracle, Jpmorgan, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, Flipkart, Intuit, Makemytrip, Fractal Analytics, Relinace Industry, Tata Consultancy, Lodha Developers, Runwal group, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Forge etca lot more recruit the students. The highest package goes as high as 15 LPA. Some international firms also visit here every year. Internship through college is average. Students who have a good GPA are mostly selected for PPOs and also the internship. Infrastructure and Faculty are simply great and college is accredited globally. It is ranked 5th among 'Best Engineering Institutes of India' by India Today in 2016 and moreover, Ranked 39th among 'Top 100 Engineering Institutes in India' by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017. Thus, Conclusion stands that it is one of Premium Institution for best scenario Placements and Internship opportunities.
