How are the placements of B.Tech in Biotechnology from NIT, Warangal?

For Biotechnology Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 75 students who applied to placements, 65 students were placed meaning almost 90% placement for Biotechnology which is astonishing considering the fact many core Companies rolling out offers. The minimum salary offered was 3.5 LPA. The average salary was 7 LPA and the maximum salary was 18 LPA for biotechnology specialisation. All these figures pop out a good reputation at NIT-Warangal. A wide range of companies with diverse roles into research development and analytics like Biocon, Torrent Pharma, Nuziveedu seeds, Dr. Reddg laboratories, Aditya Birla Fertilizer, Glenmark, Brenntag, Sun pharma, Raymond, etc. Recruited students.

National Institute of Technology, Warangal is one of the best government colleges of India. It ranks 9 in the list of top engineering colleges in India. It is known for its great infrastructure faculties with the knowledge and much-needed experience and better facilities like Wi-Fi, sports complex and labs with better equipment and machines. It offers many courses out of which Biotechnology is one of the courses in which it offers 31 seats to the students. National Institute of Technology Warangal has one of the best biotechnological department of the Asia as it conducts many research on various fields like food grains, etc. They also published many research papers in various magazines of researches all over the world. Many of the students of National Institute of Technology in biotechnology digital field they go for research in there University and apply for many research and famous researches of India as well as of the world. Placement of National Institute of Technology Warangal in biotechnology field is not so good. About 50% of the students of biotechnology gets placed and out of which most of the students get placed in the mass recruiters companies like TCS, Accenture Infosys, etc. The students who get placed in the core competencies like Aviao seeds get the placement of about Rs 9 lakh per annum. Average salary provided by them is about Rs 3 to Rs 4 lakh per annum. Hope it helps.

NITs are the premier institutes for engineering after the IITs. NIT-Warangal is one of the top NITs and is known across India. According to the National Institute Ranking Framework, NIT-Warangal ranks 34th among the engineering colleges in India. For Biotechnology Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 46 students who applied to placements from Biotechnology department, 28 students were placed meaning 60 percent placement for Biotechnology which is quite an impressive number for biotechnology. For Biotechnology, the minimum salary offered was 3.2 LPA. The average salary was 5.2 LPA and the maximum salary was 13 LPA. All these figures suggest pretty good placements at NIT-Warangal. Companies like Dr. Reddy's came for recruitment at NIT-Warangal. NIT-Warangal stands at the 34 position according to MHRD rankings 2017. It has a total of 14 departments each one having its own speciality with its own area of interest. Biotechnology at NIT-Warangal started 10 years ago. Every year around more than 60% of the students get placed in various sectors (management, software, analyst profiles, etc.). Infrastructure: The department has got various labs like biochemistry lab, microbiology, immunology, genetic, bioinformatics, bio processing, instrumentation labs, etc., apart from these, we also have labs for the chemical engineering department in our second year of B.Tech. Each lab has every required equipment (provided with air conditioning). Faculty: The department has got 16 faculty members and all are Ph.D holders and have a great knowledge of their respective fields. At NIT-Warangal, faculty allows the students to participate in the projects along with the students and that helps a lot. We have various faculty student programs to make a good relationship between student and faculty members. Placement statistics: Every year, NIT-Warangal's biotechnology department has a placement of around 70%. Students get placed in various sectors. Management Analyst Software The average package will be 5.25 LPA and the minimum package will be 3.25 LPA. The maximum package is around 13 LPA.Companies like Capgemini, Wipro, Novartis, Bank of America, Edwerlesis, Oracle, Infosys, Pyramids, Reddy's labs, Biocon, etc ., visit the campus every year.
