    VIT University, Vellore is one of the best private colleges in India and it is ranked in top 10 on the list of private colleges of India.
    It has many courses to offer out of which Biotechnology is one of the course.
    VIT University is known for its great infrastructure, knowledgeable faculty. Facilities provided by them are the sports complex, Hospital, etc.
    There are many companies that come for the placement in Vellore Institute of Technology for biotechnology and they are as follows:

    I would not recommend you to take up biotechnology in any of the private colleges in India, as there is a much larger possibility that you might land up in any of the IT companies due to the dearth of core biotechnology companies in India in comparison to the opportunities abroad.
    VIT, as any other private university fails to comply with the same. The number of core biotech companies visiting the campus during the placement season is so meager that they only take a handful of 3 - 4 students. Rest of the students end up taking jobs at mass recruiters like PCS, Wipro and many others.

    1. The labs are well equipped.
    2. Not only teachers but also lab assistants are very knowledgeable and supportive.
    3. You will be welcomed by faculties if you have a very good research proposition.
    4. As for placements, the scenario has improved a lot compared to the last years. Quite a few pharma companies turned up.
    5. You can get into the environmental section of non-core companies which offer a pay higher than IT companies.
    6. As for teachers, there are two sides to every coin so just get hold of a senior and you will get the teacher of your choice.

    Biotechnology is simply technology based on biology. Biotechnology harnesses cellular and biomolecular processes to develop technologies and products that help in improving our lives.
