    NIT-Surathkal ranks 3rd for placements by NASSCOM in the year 2016 and also ranks 22 by NIRF for last two years. Some excellent dedication has seen by TPO and the assistance given placements committee in bringing top companies in designing MOU for 3-years consecutively.

    Median Package:- 8 LPA
    Average package:- 5 LPA ( Chemical)

    Chemical engineering is among the best engineering courses in terms of training, education, placements, research and further studies.
    Many job opportunities are there for Chemical Engineers in pharma companies.
    The placements at National Institute of Technology, Surathkal of Chemical are really good. The placement ratio is almost 90%. Many multinational IT companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc., visit the campus every year and take students from here.

    NITs are the premier institutes for engineering after the IITs. NIT, Surathkal is one of the top NITs and is known across the India. According to the National Institutional, Ranking Framework NIT, Surathkal ranks 22nd among the engineering colleges in India.
    For chemical engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 32 students who applied for placements from chemical department all 32 students were placed meaning a whopping 100 percent placement for chemical which is quite an impressive number.
    For chemical, the minimum salary offered was Rs 3.3 lakhs per annum. The average salary was Rs 5.48 lakhs per annum and the maximum salary was Rs 7.3

    Choose chemical engineering only if you are really passionate about the branch and not because of the placements because if it is so then you will have a very hard time getting placement at core companies.
    Chemical department at NIT Surat is extremely reputable and has an excellent record of placements where they boast of a hundred percent batch placement in chemical stream.
    Core companies like Goldman Sachs also come for placements offering nothing less than 15 LPA but the intake of students is very less for such companies. The average placement package that was offered to the students according to the placement report of 2017 at this

    Chemical engineering branch is that branch which has not made its roots into the India. If you have an interest or if you like chemical engineering branch then only you should choose it otherwise it would be very difficult for you to get a job or get placed in core companies.
    National Institute of Technology Suratkal is one of the best government colleges of India.
    It is known for its great infrastructure faculties with the knowledge and much-needed experience and better facilities like wi-fi, sports complex, and labs with better equipment and machines.

    Chemical engineering is a branch of engineering that applies physical sciences (physics and chemistry), life sciences (microbiology and biochemistry), together with applied mathematics and economics to produce, transform, transport, and properly use chemicals, materials, and energy
    NIT, Suratkal is among top NITs of India, so obviously, placements are of top-notch there of every branch.
