How are the placements of B.Tech in Civil Engineering from DTU, Delhi?

Hey there, DTU is one of the prestigious technological institutes of Delhi. Placements for civil branch of DTU are not that bad. First of all, there are very few Govt. companies that visits DTU for the recruitment drive (civil engineering). Still, there are many private firms that visit the campus for recruitment. Some of them which visited last year were SMS Siemag, Era Infra Construction, Turner Construction, Godrej and L&T. These private firms offered an average package of 4-6 LPA. As all Govt. job profiles are recruited through PSUs and GATE exam. So better start preparing for GATE exam because that's your best chance of getting a job. If you are looking for a non-technical job profile then make sure you have good communication skills and aptitude. You may not be able to match your pay scales with that of computer science students, but a government job in civil engineering offers you a comfortable and happy life in the long run. Civil engineers from DTU have a decent placement record and I believe anyone with a good percentage and decent communication skills can expect a package between 5-7 lakhs. I hope this helps you.

Civil Engineering is one of the oldest, popular branches of Engineering. It is a core branch as well as an evergreen one, talking about job possibilities. Civil Engineering discipline is all about planning, construction, and preservation of constructions such as buildings, roads, stadiums, dams etc. Thus, one can say that this branch of Engineering deals with construction and outlining of structures belonging to the personal application such as homes and also public service structures such as roads, railway lines etc. This is the reason why I quoted above that this is a branch that controls almost all spheres of human life. Job openings are available for B.E./B.Tech. Civil Engineering graduates find employment in Government as well as Private sectors. Talking about Government sector, many companies such as ONGC, BHEL, IOC, PWD, Electricity boards, Town Planning department, NHAI, Armed Forces, Indian Railways, etc. needs qualifying Civil Engineers. Delhi Technological University is one of the good colleges of our country, so the placement scene is very good. The average package is about 9 LPA in core jobs.

The placements here of this branch are awesome only because of its location as in this region there is a hub of developers and hence they want engineers for the same so the placements of this college are awesome.

Delhi Technological University is one of the best engineering colleges of India. It ranks in top 10 engineering colleges of India. It is very well known for its great infrastructure, faculties with the knowledge and experience in teaching as well as facilities provided by them are very good like Labs, Sports Complex, canteen, Wi-Fi, etc. There are many courses offered by Delhi Technological University out of which Civil engineering is one of the course in which it or it offers about 186 to the students. It provides interactive session with major companies. It provides equipment to the civil engineering students to gain more practical knowledge from doing the field work of civil engineering. Placement of civil engineering from Delhi Technological University is just about average. The various recruiters were MS Siemag, ERA infra construction, Turner construction, Godrej and L&T. The average placement for the civil branch was 6 lakh per annum while the highest placement was 15 lakh per annum.

The placements at DTU, Delhi for Civil Engineering is good. It is almost around 90% every year. This credit goes to training and placement cell of DTU-Delhi. The average package is around 8 to 9 LPA here. Civil Engineering is among the evergreen fields of Engineering. Many companies take part in placement cell of DTU-Delhi. Companies like DLF, L&T, ONGC, Adani Group, Aditya Birla Group, Lodha Developers, Runwal group, Larsen and Toubro, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Amazon, Flipkart, Accenture, Wipro, Reliance Industries, etc., recruit Students from here. Many of the students are getting very good packages in civil engineering branch. Nowadays, placements of the core engineering branches will increase like for Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, CSE, etc., with a very good amount of package especially from good institutes and universities, the packages will be always better and higher than the previous year because more and more companies take part in the placement drive. There are many opportunities for jobs for Civil Engineers in government sectors like PWD, Railway, Airport, etc.

Placement is quite good here for Civil Branch. Internship through college is average. Students who have a good GPA are mostly selected for PPOs and also the internship. Infrastructure and Faculty are simply great and college is accredited globally. The drawback faced is very few core companies participating here. The average package lies in the range of 8-9 LPA CTC. Companies like Amazon, Zomato, Pepperfry, Cisco, Oracle, Jpmorgan, Morgan stanley, Microsoft, Flipkart, Intuit, Makemytrip, Fractal Analytics, Relinace Industry, Tata Consultancy, Lodha Developers, Runwal group, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Forge etca lot more recruit the students.The highest package goes as high as 30 LPA. Some international firms also visit here every year. It is ranked 5th among 'Best Engineering Institutes of India' by India Today in 2016 and moreover, Ranked 39th among 'Top 100 Engineering Institutes in India' by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017. Delhi's first engineering college, consist of 12 academic departments with strong emphasis on scientific and technological education and research Ranked 5th among 'Best Engineering Institutes of India' by India Today in 2016. Ranked 39th among 'Top 100 Engineering Institutes in India' by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017 Placement for 2016-17 batch noted approximately 990 offers for B.Tech, 59 offers for M.Tech and 26 offers for MBA students Undertakes research projects sponsored by Government bodies like CSIR, DST, BARC, DST, AICTE, etc. College strives on the reputation and quality of students that enroll in it. Facilities are good. Faculty members depends from department to department. Ease of working is more in some departments. The time of fest is amazing. Training and placement department is well developed and generally placements are very good. Each student got placed in a reputed firm with the average package of 4.5 LPA which is considered good in the field of civil engineering. The highest salary offered was 7 LPA whereas the lowest was around 4.2 LPA.

Hey there, DTU is one of the reputed engineering colleges in India. Every year lakhs of students try getting admission here. According to the National Institute Ranking framework, Delhi Technological University was ranked 39th in India and around 3rd in Delhi. DTU is well known among the recruiters and provides decent placements to its students. Last time, total 33 offers were made for civil students. The exact placement stats aren't released by DTU publicly. The average package is around 6 LPA for Civil. Companies like Larsen and turbo, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, NTPC, Gail, EIL, TRAI and Schlumberger are regular recruiters at DTU.
