Heritage Institute of Technology situated in Kolkata is a private institute taking the students for engineering stream.
Though the college is not so much remarkable and up to the mark when it comes to infrastructure but is improving itself and hence can be considered as okay.
Now, coming to the placement stats, the average placement from here is around 3 to 4 lakh and highest package offered is from Microsoft which is around 16 lakhs.
Although, the above placement data is from CSE, ECE, IT, etc.
Also, frankly speaking, the college do not have a good placement record other than these three branch though, many IT based companies visit for ma

Civil branch in heritage is not that good branch. Some of the good branches in HITK are computer science (CS), ECE, etc. Since Heritage is a private college, not many core companies visit the campus. But IT sector companies visit and recruit in mass. Companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Infosys, etc. visit the campus. If we talk about the core companies, last year Godrej and Tech. Mahindra visited the campus. Not much but few students managed to get placed. A lot of students (50-60%) go for IT placements and get a job of 3.75-4.00 LPA. The faculty here is good. It also depends on the students. If the students work har

Frankly speaking, placement for all the branches are not very good in Heritage Institute of technology. Only branches like computer science and engineering, information technology (IT), and ECE have good placement. If you are from any other branch then you are going to end up in IT sector. No core companies visit the campus whether it is of civil engineering or mechanical engineering. So, overall placement in civil engineering in core companies are almost zero there.
Some students of civil engineering got placed in companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, etc. with an average package of around 3 lakhs per annum. Last year, Mic

    Hi there,
To be frank, the placements for civil branch at Heritage Insititute of Technology is quite pathetic, hardly any core civil companies came here for placements as the placements of CSE/IT/ECE are very good so if you have some sort of programming skills then you may get placed in the service based IT companies like TCS, Wipro or Infosys.
Some insights of the colleges are:
    Intake: 120
    Placements stats:
Average package: 3 LPA (aggregate of all branches)
Highest package: 16 LPA (aggregate of all branches)
    Recruiters:
Subex, ACC Cements, Visa Steel, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Tega Industries, Polaris Software, Wipro, TCS, HP, CMC Limited, Ceat,
