    Students placed was 95 percent. For the Civil department, it was 95 percent for in 2016 and a whopping record of 100 percent in 2017. The major talked about companies that come for recruiting are names like Volvo, Larsen and Turbo, DRDO, Hindustan Copper, Sterlite Industry, HAL, Tata chemicals, Bajaj, Birla Cellulose and Raymond, Arvind Group. The average salary for chemical engineering lies around Rs 6 to Rs 8 Lacs (approximately. ). Moreover, some students also opt for roles in IT/CS, Consulting, Financial marketing, management as such.     The placements at NIT-Tiruchirappalli for Civil Engineering is very good. It is almost around 95% every year. This credit goes to training and placement cell of NIT-Tiruchirappalli.
    The average package is around 6 to 8 LPA here.
    Civil Engineering is among the evergreen fields of Engineering.
    Many companies take part in placement cell at NIT-Tiruchirappalli.

    National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli is known for its excellence in placements and is the top National Institute of Technology in India.
    Being in National Institute of Technology, it ensures you the best of the placements in the whole country after Indian Institute of Technology.

    NIT Trichy is surely known for its placements and is ranked first among all the NITs for a reason.In 2016 the percentage of total students placed was 96.7 percent. For the civil department, it was an 85.3 percent for 2015 and 86.6 percent for 2016.
