How are the placements of B.Tech in Civil Engineering from REVA University?

Reva University-Bangalore is known to provide for a good placement for IT, software and computer science branches. But it is not the case for the civil department. I will list out the reasons supporting the above fact in form of pros and cons of the placement in the college: Pros: Due to the strategic location of the college being Bangalore, it manages to attract a large number of corporate companies. Even if you are unable to get a placement in any of the core civil companies, you'll get a placement in one of the IT firms or BPOs. Cons: The college fails to attract a number of civil core companies. The total batch placement in the civil branch is 70% only. The following companies make rounds during the placement season: Amazon, Cognizant, Dell, Ernst & Young, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Blue Star, Infotech Ltd, Goldman Sachs, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Microsoft, Samsung, Siemens, TCS l&T, INFOTECH, Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), Bosch Ltd, MphasiS, UNISYS, Aricent Group ,CAP Gemini, SBI LIFE INSURANCE, Tech Mahindra, Bata India, ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudential, Karvy Igate, TESCO Artech Infosystems. Average placement -3.5 lacs Highest placement -7.5 lacs Hope this helps.

The placements of B.Tech in Civil Engineering at Reva University are like most of the mod tier engineering colleges in Bangalore, as of now. The cutoff for being eligible is 65%, and you must not possess any active backlogs as such. Last year, the highest starting salary was 11 lakh rupees per annum. Companies such as Tata Consultancy Services, HP, Dell, Amazon, Wipro Technologies, Cognizant, Data, and Samsung visit the college every year. The average salary is usually around 3-4 Lacs per annum, and most students get placed successfully. The college faculty members are really supportive, and a lot of effort goes in each year, to help each student get a job. There are, however, no core companies for civil engineering students, and such is the case with a lot of engineering colleges in Bangalore. If landing a job is your concern, you've chosen a good college, where mass recruiters take in a lot of students each year, and they're really happy with the way these students have been performing as IT professionals.
