How are the placements of B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from KIET Group of Institutions (KIET)?

KIET also known as Krishna Institute of Technology is an engineering college affiliated to AKTU(UPTU). Placements in KIET are very good compared to other colleges of AKTU especially in CSE and civil branch. The major recruiters for CSE that visit campus are:- TCS, Naukri.com, HCL, Tech Mahindra, One.com, Samsung, Snapdeal, Cummins, Torrent Power, Smartprix, ION trading, HUL, Newgen, Fiserv, Kronos, Wipro etc. The highest package in KIET as per my knowledge has been Rs 14 lakhs per annum by salesforce.com. Some companies for CS offered upto Rs 10 lakhs.Quality recruiters like Airtel and Pernod Ricard initially pay in the band of Rs 4 lakh. The majority companies for mass opportunities offer in Rs 34 lakhs range. Some of them also offered in Rs 1.6 to Rs 2.6 lakhs range. For KIET placement records are almost transparent and the college authority provides the complete records of students recruited in each year in each branch. KIET students get around more than 700 placement offers in different branches. Coming to the CSE, 95 % students in CSE got placement offers in the year 2016-17. Many corporate giants like Tech-Mahindra, TCS, Amazon, Directi, BYJU's, Capgemini, Kronos, Smartpix, Newgen, Torrent Power and many more have visited the campus for placements. Getting the highest offer of around Rs 14 lakhs per annum.The biggest advantage that KIET student have is the TBI-KIET, a Technology Business Incubator which help in making the idea into reality, helps in startup and enterpreneurship. If you are CSE KIET student and have the potential & determination nothing can stop you from achieving your dream job. The average package offered by these companies were around Rs 3.5 to Rs 4 lakhs per annum and the maximum package was around of Rs 14 lakhs per annum. 10 startups were started by the KIET students with help of TBI-KIET and Government of India. KIET has excellent placement records.

Krishna Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad is one of the premium institutes in the NCR region which offers engineering and management degrees to the eligible students through the UPTU exam. It offers world-class faculty, facility, infrastructure, research lab, placement, industry collaboration etc are fine enough to make the student well trained for the industry.The company like:-TCS, AIRTEL, QUALCOMM, INFOSYS, WIPRO etc are the recruiter from the campus.The profile ranges from software developer to system engineer with the package offered to the student as minimum as Rs 4 lakh per annum to highest being Rs 16 lakh per annum to computer science graduate engineer from KIET. So there is ample opportunity for the computer science as they can readily work with the company due to its wide scope in the IT industry.So KIET is the good options if you get through to admission so you can hope to get a great career ahead after getting your degree. Greetings from Shiksha!! Computer Science Engineering is top Engineering Branch of today. KIET is good Institute for Engineering. The placements at KIET Group of Institutions for computer science engineering is good. The placement ratio is almost 70 to 75% placement. The average package is around Rs 3 to Rs 5 lakhs per annum. Since this branch CSE is among the evergreen field, the placement of this branch will increase with a good amount of packages. Many companies like Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Tata Group, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, TCS etc takes students from here. This all credit goes to training and placement cell department of KIET Group of Institutions. So thus it is really good to do Computer Science engineering. Many job opportunities will generate in upcoming years due to development in IT Sector in our country. The placement ratio of KIET Group of Institutions is almost 70 to 75 % and in future, it will be like this only for computer science engineering and other top engineering fields.

Spread over 17.6 acres, the Institute campus is well developed having latest facilities & modern amenities, housing the academic department as well as providing residential facilities to the students and faculty. Salary offered per annum to student from different company is Rs 6 lakhs TCS, Tech-Mahindra and all others: Rs. 3.2 - 3.5 lakhs Newgen: Rs 4 lakhs to Rs 3.5 lakhs No. of students placed: TCS: 80 Tech-Mahindra: 90 Dell: 36 SNAP-deal and startups: 10 Apart from these companies, there were numerous other companies which covered the total strength of students. The average package for the batch is 3.52 lakhs per annum and the highest package offered is 10 lakhs per annum which is quite good as compared to other college of ATKU. The department has successfully placed the students in reputed National & Multi-National Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra, Samsung India Electronics, Indian Navy, Indian Army, NIIT Technologies, HUL, ION Trading, Pentair, Pernod Ricard and many more.

First of all, I would want you to know that Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology is affiliated to AKTU and is just a below average college like any other AKTU college. From the very first year, you would regret taking admission in this college which provides you with total batch placement percentage of around 50% in the field of computer science as seen in the placement report of 2017. Also, the placements that happen are mostly for reputed mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro and Cognizant where you would make a total waste out of your degree and you would get a job just to support yourself. The training and placement cell of the college is very dominant and has no interest in training its students to get through placements, besides being failing in attracting a number of core companies. Highest placement package that was offered during the year 2017 for the branch of computer science was just 8 LPA. I highly doubt if you would want to take admission in such a college. KIET Group of Institutions(KIET) is among the top listed colleges in AKTU. It is well known for academic development of students as well as for providing good placement opportunities to the students through campus drives. Computer Science is a department in which there are lot of jobs provided the technical skills and communication skills of a student are good enough. Major IT companies focus on shortlisting students based on their skills. It is not right to say if a student possesses only one of the skills as mentioned above then it would be good enough for his selection. This year their is shortage or fall of IT jobs and this might impact the placement procedure in the colleges. The companies would either increase number of rounds or would hire lesser number of students as compared to previous years. But this is not something by which one should get demotivated. They are not only looking for a technically sound employee or a student with excellent interpersonal skills. Infact they prefer a good proportion of all these skills comb with positive attitude in a student(fresher). Regarding highest package and percentage of students placed this information can only be conveyed by training and placement officer at your college. The highest package company does mainly focus on coding test to filter out students. Do prepare well for the placements and if you are confident enough then no one can stop you from getting placed.
