I don't have idea about MNIT, I would say Lovely Professional University is the best engineering college in India. Hello, B.Tech in CS or ECE is a good option as per today's requirement and there are good placements in industry. But companies only take students who have extra skills along with the degree. They don't just take degree holders. So, do extra courses and job will be in your hand.

It is the best branch in terms of number of placement as I know one of my friend is currently studying here and he is in mechanical engineering branch. He also have a good placement in his 3 year of B.Tech. The average package for computer engineering in year 2017 -2018 was 14 LPA according to the data on their website.
