Haldia Institute of Technology started its journey in the year 1996 as the first self-financing and Govt. Aided Degree Engineering Institute in the state of West Bengal,
As compared to other colleges of West Bengal, the scenario is much better(except 1 or 2 other private colleges). You would get a chance to appear in mass IT recruiter companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro. Recently from last 2 years, Tech-Mahindra is also visiting.The average placement from all the branches combined is approximately 200-250. Haldia institute of technology was established in the year 1996. The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology and approved by AICTE. It comes in top 3 private colleges of West Bengal. It is one of most reputed college of MAKUT university. Every year so many software company used to visit, so the placements of CSE is very good.

This year about 82 companies visited our campus. In our department, placement percentage is approx 55%. The average package was 3.2 Lacs. Some students were offered higher package depending upon their credibility. most MNCs like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, IBM, etc. visited.
Placements are good in Haldia for CS branch.
