Also, in my view, I think you should not worry about the placements. If you work hard in the course and learn as much as you can, any company visiting the campus would be happy to hire you. However, you must not neglect polishing your communication skills as well, because companies will check that in their interviews. LPU provides plenty of opportunities to its students to take part in events, competitions, fests in order to let them grow their personality and give them a chance to polish their skills. From Google to Microsoft to Apple, Computer Science students of LPU are working with hundreds of leading IT giants of the world. CSE/IT

Lovely Professional University is considered as one of the best private universities of North India. Most important thing about this university is its infrastructure. LPU has world class infrastructure (I just loved it) and a pool of good faculties as well. Computer science engineering is the best branch there. The university provides lots of opportunities to its students. Main drawback of the university is its location. It is located in the outskirts of the city Jalandhar. But the giant 600 acres campus has all the facilities.
Now coming to the placement part, computer science engineering has 100% placements. Many Students got multiple

Lovely Professional University is a private university. You can get detailed overview from –
    https://www.shiksha.com/university/lovely-professional-university-jalandhar-28499
In comparison to local private universities LPU performs well but is nowhere near premier institutes like IITs, NITs or BITS.
LPU had average placements for CSE department. 80% of placed students got package less than 4 LPA by companies like Cognizant and Tech Mahindra.
15 percent got a package between 4-7 LPA. Remaining 5 percent got packages above 10 LPA from companies like Amazon.
So placement scenario was average for CSE at LPU.
