How are the placements of B.Tech in ECE from DTU, Delhi?

Hey there. Thanks for a2a. Well i am from DTU Mech branch and most of my Friends are in ECE branch, so i can relate this question much better. The cut-offs for ECE usually are high and so the students who get this branch have an in born aptitude for doing well in academics. DTU ECE students are yearly recruited by top companies like Qualcomm, Airtel, SanDisk, TI, Texas, Samsung, ARM, Nvidia, Freescale and many other core electronics companies. If you consider yourself an average student you may get placed in technical and non-technical companies. An ECE student can also apply for non-technical job profiles. The highest package offered to an ECE student was about 70 LPA by EPIC. The average package is about 4-6 LPA. Almost every student of the ECE batch gets placed if he/she is desiring to crack the interview. You can expect a 90% selection rate of ECE batch. Teachers are friendly. If you play your cards right, you can get to know much of what's going to come in the exams. Pick your CR well who can talk well and get things done. The workload is at the bare minimum level. The exams require just a couple of weeks of diligent studying. The rest of the semester you are free to explore your skills, hobbies and interests. Go out with friends, form lasting relationships that's what matters in college and trust me, you'll have plenty of time to do it. Just take care of your CGPA and try to maintain at least 75% in all semesters to be eligible to sit for technical companies interviews. I hope this helps you.

Placements of this college are awesome and also the college's average pack is 18 LPA which is one of the most prestigious figures in this field for freshers.

Delhi Technological University is one of the best engineering colleges of India. It ranks amongst top 10 engineering colleges of India. It is very well known for its great infrastructure. Faculties with the knowledge and experience in teaching as well as facilities provided by them are very good like labs, sports complex, canteen, Wi-Fi, etc. There are many courses offered by Delhi Technological University out of which electronics and communication engineering is one of the course in which it or it offers about 186 to the students. Hey there, DTU is one of the reputed engineering colleges in India. Every year, lakhs of students try getting admission here. According to the National Institute Ranking framework, Delhi Technological University was ranked 39th in India and around 3rd in Delhi. DTU is well known among recruiters and provides decent placements to its students. Last time, total 167 offers were made for ECE students. The exact placement stats aren't released by DTU publicly. The average package is around 8-10 LPA for ECE. The placement scenario in DTU is very good with almost top brands coming to recruit the candidates from the campus. The area of electronics and communication is the very much demanding field after computer science engineering as it is most technology driven area and needs very much specialist on it. DTU is a Tier -1 college in engineering in Delhi with a top most facility, research material, laboratory, industry collaboration you name it they have it. Year by year, a large no. of candidate apply to get admission in the campus but only a few get in. In the placement scene companies like:- Amazon CISCO Texas Instrument SANDISK Qualcomm Airtel Non-technical companies like Delloite and BCG recruit good candidate at good packages There is a huge increase in the placement data year by year. The following is the few of the data:- Highest package in the whole B.Tech batch is 96 lakh offered by Google USA 70 Lacs offered by EPIC 28 Lacs Goldman Sachs In Electronics and. Communication -The highest package Domestic placement is -11.25 Lacs given by Texas Instrument to the year 2014 batch candidate. Placement is amazing here for ECE branch. The average package lies in the range of 8-9 LPA CTC. Companies like Amazon, Zomato, Pepperfry, Cisco, Oracle, Jpmorgan, Morgan stanley, Microsoft, Flipkart, Intuit, Makemytrip, Samsung, Bajjaj, Nokia, Micromax, Qualcomm, Apple, Fractal Analytics, Relinace Industry, Tata Consultancy, etca lot more recruit the students.The highest package goes as high as 45 LPA. Some international firms also visit here every year.Internship through college is average. Students who have a good GPA are mostly selected for PPOs and also the internship. Infrastructure and Faculty are simply great and college is accredited globally. It is ranked 5th among 'Best Engineering Institutes of India' by India Today in 2016 and moreover, Ranked 39th among 'Top 100 Engineering Institutes in India' by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017. Thus, conclusion stands that it is one of Premium Institution for best scenario Placements and Internship opportunities. DTU is a tier 1 engineering college and attracts some of the best recruiters for all the major engineering streams. One can expect three types of recruiters flocking to DTU for recruitment 1. Core recruiters- Who will hire for core ece functional roles eg. Synopsys, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Mentor Graphics etc 2. IT recruiters- They find ece grads a perfect example of fundamental computer science knowledge with electronic major. eg. Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, Accenture to name a few 3. Consulting/Auditing/ Data analytics recruiters- Students with superior quantitative skills who desire for non engineering profiles may want to apply for these roles. The roles like business analyst, data analyst, technology analyst are provided by Bain, McKinsey, ZS, Deloitte, EnY, etc.

The placements at Delhi Technological University for Electronics and Communication Engineering is good. It is almost around 85% every year. This credit goes to training and placement cell of DTU-Delhi. The average package is around 8 to 9 LPA here. ECE Engineering is among the evergreen fields of Engineering. Many companies take part in placements at DTU-Delhi. Companies like DLF, L&T, ONGC, Adani Group, Aditya Birla Group, Goldman Sachs, Google, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, OLA Cabs, Microsoft, Oracle, Raymond, Flipkart, Qualcomm, Samsung, Cognizant, etc., recruit students from here. Many of the students are getting very good packages in ECE Engineering branch. Nowadays, placements of core engineering branches will increase like for Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, CSE, ECE, EEE, etc., with very good amount of packages. Especially in IITs and NITs, the packages will be always better and higher than the previous year because more and more companies take part in the placement drive. Many IT companies who take CSE Engineers also take a very good number of EC Engineers with a good amount of packages.
