    Indian Institute of Technology-Guwahati is one of the best government colleges of India. IIT ranks in 6 in the list of top colleges of India.
    Indian Institute of Technology-Guwahati offers many courses out of which Electronics and Electricals Engineering is one of the courses which offers about 60 seats to students. It offers the students with hands on experience programs to work on real time based machines in industry interactive sessions.

    The placement has to be some extraordinary and so does it live up to expectations. With the best infrastructure after BITS Pilani, it promises all-round development for students. As per the year 2016, placements statistics have been shared below. Total no. Of companies visited:- 125
    Number of offers: 456
    Average package: 7Lpa
    Median package:- 14lpa
    Maximum Package: 55lpa by Samsung

    IITs are the premier engineering institutes. IIT-Guwahati is one of the old IITs and lakhs of students try to get admission here every year. According to the National Institute Ranking Framework, IIT Guwahati ranks 7th among all engineering colleges in India which is a pretty good rank.
    Electronics and Electrical Engineering at IIT-Guwahati is pretty good.
    For EEE Engineering, in 2015 out of 42 students who applied to placements from the EEE department, 29 students were placed meaning 69 percent placement for EEE which is an okayish number.

    IITs are most premiere institutes of India, they are well known for their state of art infrastructure, best in class facilities and outstanding placements records, IIT-G is also following that legacy and the placements of all the branch including electronics and electrical engineering is of top notch.

    Average package:- 11 lakhs (aggregate of all branches)
    Highest package:- 2.1 crores (aggregate of all branches)

    IIT, Guwahati has the best faculty for electronics and electrical engineering all over India and has reputation for the best placements in the same department.
    Also being in an IIT you can ensure yourself that you are in the best hands in India and are going to have the best placement opportunities than any other college in India.
    Coming back to the question, the average placement package for electronics and electrical engineer in the year 2017 was around Rs 7 to Rs 8 lakhs and number of core electrical companies showed up to recruit students from the campus, with most of them being startups.

    Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati popularly known as IITG is a public engineering institute established by the Government of India in the year 1994. It is the sixth Indian Institute of Technology established in India.
    As this being a renowned Institute, the placements are close to 100%. In 2015, the highest package offered to a student was $12,500, Whereas, the average package was around 13 lac per annum. Top recruiters such as Wipro Lighting Corporate, Schnider Electricm, Bajaj Electricals Ltd, Siemens etc. visit the campus every year.
