The college of engineering, Pune have many engineering branches and the institute is having great infrastructure and study environment, if I tell specifically about the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, it is well-equipped and have spacious laboratories and highly qualified faculty. The B.E Electronics and Telecommunication course aims to teach students the fundamental skills required to satisfy the needs of a growing economy incorporated with applied engineering aspects. COEP is among the top 25 colleges in India. It is one of the very old and reputed institutes of India and is well known for its academics and placements.

COEP is among best institutes for engineering in India, it does not have so imprint placements and exposure you will get from COEP are just fairly decent.
Here are some statistical insights of the college.
1) Average package:- Rs 4 lakhs
2) Highest package:- Rs 14 lakhs by Vodafone.
Although 78% students got placed which is very minuscule, hence electronics and telecommunication engineering are recommended from COE Pune.

College of Engineering is one of the best Engineering Colleges of India as well as of Maharashtra as well as of Pune. It is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. It ranks 21 in the list of top Engineering Colleges of India.

College of Engineering, Pune is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra after IITs and NITs. According to MHRD rankings, it stands at an impressive 24th position. From what I learned while pursuing B.Tech from NIT, Trichy is that COEP is known even to the people in Tamil Nadu which means it is known all over India.
For electronics and telecommunication engineering, last year out of 77 students who applied for placements from ECE department 73 students were placed meaning 94.81 percent placement for ECE which is quite a good number.

I would like to share the placement statistics of last few years. Electronics and Telecommunications (E&TC) department gets relatively good placements. It's one of the few colleges which is having the good faculty staff for E&TC course. In the academic year 2015-16, 94.81% of the total UG students and 86.43% of the total PG students got placed. In the academic year 2013-14, 89.61% of the total UG students and 62.86% of the total PG students got placed. College of Engineering, Pune is among the top private colleges in Pune itself and among few of the top 5 colleges in Maharashtra in private sector.
In the department of electronics and telecommunication engineering, one can expect an average placement package of 4.5 to 5 lacs.
The college also manages to attract a number of core companies where the highest package offered by them were handsome amount of 30 lacs per annum.

7 years agoCollege of Engineering Pune is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India. COEP is considered among the top notch institutes other than IITs, but as I said earlier that it's a very old engineering college, so the buildings are old and library looks older as well. Infrastructure is good, but don't expect too much from COEP.
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is sandwiched between the core and the software field. So, many students moved to software related jobs and many managed to get the core jobs.
