COEP is among best institutes for engineering in India, it does not have so imprint placements and exposure you will get from COEP are just fairly decent.

1) Average package:- Rs 4 lakhs
2) Highest package:- Rs 14 lakhs by Vodafone.

College of Engineering, Pune is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra after IITs and NITs. According to MHRD rankings, it stands at an impressive 24th position. From what I learned while pursuing B.Tech from NIT, Trichy is that COEP is known even to the people in Tamil Nadu which means it is known all over India.
For electronics and telecommunication engineering, last year out of 77 students who applied for placements from ECE department 73 students were placed meaning 94.81 percent placement for ECE which is quite a good number.

I would like to share the placement statistics of last few years. Electronics and Telecommunications (E&TC) department gets relatively good placements. It's one of the few colleges which is having the good faculty staff for E&TC course. In the academic year 2015-16, 94.81% of the total UG students and 86.43% of the total PG students got placed. In the academic year 2013-14, 89.61% of the total UG students and 62.86% of the total PG students got placed. College of Engineering, Pune is among the top private colleges in Pune itself and among few of the top 5 colleges in Maharashtra in private sector.
In the department of electronics and telecommunication engineering, one can expect an average placement package of 4.5 to 5 lacs.

7 years agoCollege of Engineering Pune is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India. COEP is considered among the top notch institutes other than IITs, but as I said earlier that it's a very old engineering college, so the buildings are old and library looks older as well. Infrastructure is good, but don't expect too much from COEP.
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is sandwiched between the core and the software field. So, many students moved to software related jobs and many managed to get the core jobs.
