Isgec Heavy Engineering Ltd. But in current times, core placement craze has fallen out of vogue. Best placements barring coding ones are in oil & gas, banks, consulting, e-commerce and analytics. An engineering physics student has a much higher chance of clearing them as any other branch in any IIT. In my point of view, if you are not going in computer science or mathematics then you can choose IIT before the branch for your placement will be reflective of the institute and not of your branch. In last, I want to say that the branch is not important, your CG is. If you think you can get a higher CG in physics than any other branch, go for it. Personally, I found physics to contain very little rote learning. Most of the courses, you can Master if you get the concepts right.

Placements of B.Tech in engineering physics from IIT-Roorkee are very good as many of the core companies related to engineering physics comes to the placements. It is all the work of placement cell of IIT Roorkee which attracts many large companies or major companies of India and of abroad. It also provides the most important thing required nowadays is hands-on experience what practical knowledge with theoretical knowledge which helps in getting good placement. IIT-Roorkee is known for its infrastructure and knowledgeable faculty members with about 5 to 10 years of experience teaching in college. Facilities provided by the college are really good like Wi-Fi Sports Complex and labs with better equipment and machines. There are many local and foreign companies that come for the placement of engineering physics. Most of the students of engineering physics are placed into non-core companies like TCS, Accenture or any oil company, etc.

Placements are really very good at IIT Roorkee. But as LPU alumni, I would recommend LPU as well. Engineering Programs at LPU are in the same league as BITS Pilani & many IITs. As per the world ranking, 2022 LPU has been ranked 10th amongst the top universities of India in engineering subjects. Around 550+ companies visit every year for such activities and campus recruitment of students from LPU. And this year for batch graduating in 2020, already more than 650 placement/internship drives have been conducted till February 2020 with leading industry giants (more than 90% being MNCs).
