    National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surathkal ranked 33rd in NIRF 2020's overall rankings. The institute is conducting its placement drive for the batch 2022 and a total of 86.1% of students were placed. In B.Tech alone, 96.9% students were placed. A total of 1385 out of 1608 students were placed. The highest CTC of INR 45 LPA was offered. In terms of placements, the institute has begun its 2021 drive. As of now, 85% of UG and 57% of PG students have been placed. In the on-going placement drive at the NIT Surathkal, 907 students have already been placed.     Hi. NIT Surathkal Placements 2022:
    The average Package is INR 21.4 LPA & the highest Package is INR 45 LPA. National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surathkal ranked 33rd in NIRF 2020's overall rankings. The institute is conducting its placement drive for the batch 2022 and a total of 86.1% of students were placed. Two students of the country's premier technical institute NIT-K, Surathkal have been offered the Google India's the highest salary package per annum.

    During National Institute of Technology Surathkal placements 2022, the highest package offered to BTech (Information Technology) students was INR 45.03 LPA. The average package offered during NIT Surathkal placements 2022 for BTech (IT) students was INR 23.03 LPA. Moreover, out of 1,626 eligible students, 1,350 students were placed successfully during National Institute of Technology Surathkal placements 2022.

    The placement of IT branch is conducted with the computer Science engineering branch because IT is the sister branch of computer Science engineering. It is known for its great infrastructure faculty members with the knowledge and much-needed experience and better facilities like Wi-Fi, sports complex and labs with better equipment and machines. NIT-Surathkal has many courses to offer out of which information engineering is one of the courses in which it offers 92 seats to the students.     National Institute of Technology-Suratkal is one of the best government colleges of India.
    It ranks 13 in the list of top engineering colleges in India.
    The placement of IT branch is conducted with the computer science engineering branch because IT is the sister branch of computer science engineering.

    NITs are the premier institutes for engineering after the IITs. NIT Surathkal is one of the top NITs and is known across the India. According to the National Institutional, ranking framework NIT, Surathkal ranks 22nd among the engineering colleges in India.
    For information technology engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 88 students who applied for placements from IT department 84 students were placed meaning 95.45 percent placement for IT which is quite an impressive number.     NIT-Surathkal ranks 3rd for placements by NASSCOM in the year 2016 and also ranks 22 by NIRF since last two years.
    Some excellent dedication seen by TPO and assistance given by Placements Committee in bringing top companies in designing MOU for 3-years consecutively.
    For IT students, some special coding program and competition is held to encourage more participating in Technical Development and scholarship are also awarded for meritorious students.
