    Information technology has the same rate of average packages or average salary with respect to computer science engineering as information technology and computer science engineering have to sit together for the placement.
    VIT University-Vellore is one of the best private colleges in India and it ranks in top 10 in the list of private colleges of India.
    It has many courses to offer out of which computer science bioinformatics is one of the course. It is basically computer science engineering.

    The placements are almost 100%. Here is other data -
    Mostly the company comes at VIT with handsome package of:
    2 to 6 LPA for mechanical.
    2 to 10 LPA for electrical and communication.
    6 to 20 LPA for IT and CSE.
    And god bless civil branch (very less compared to others).
    But competition for getting a job is fierce. There are almost 1000 aspiring students for a company that will take 2 or 3 students.
    So, everything is a matter of probability here. Even if you come in top 10 students of your batch and a company wants to take 3 students, it all comes to luck.
    CSE guys need not worry, they will definitely be placed in their core company.

    Placement at VIT is structured in the following manner:
    First, comes the super dream companies offering placements of above 9 lacs.
    This is followed by dream companies which offer placements from anywhere between 4 lacs to 8 lacs.
    Now comes the mass recruiters which offer placements for below 4 lacs which are made by renowned companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc.
    These are some of the companies that offer placements above 7 lacs:
