How are the placements of B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur?

Hello IIT Kharagpur is one of best college in stream of study and facility. The motto literally translates to "Excellence in action is Yoga" essentially implying that doing your work well is (true) yoga. It is sourced to Sri Krishna's discourse to Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita. There were 224 freshers and 42 teachers in August 1951 when the first session started. The class rooms, laboratories and the Administrative office were housed in the historic building of the Hijli Detention Camp. The Institute started its academic programme with only ten Departments. On March, 1952, Pandit Nehru laid the foundation stone of the New Building on Sept. 15, 1956, the Parliament of India passed an act known as the Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur) Act declaring this Institute as an Institute of national importance. The Institute was also given the status of an autonomous University. From this modest start in 1950, IIT Kharagpur has been engaged in a steady process of development with about 18 academic departments, five centres of excellence. The vast tree-laden campus, spreading over 2100 acres has a self-contained township of over 15,000 inhabitants. Currently we have about 550 faculty, 1700 employees and 9000 students on the campus. Based on the past records, it's evident that those who have maintained their academic CGPA above 7.5 in any of the disciplines and participated in various extracurricular activities at IIT Kharagpur, almost 98% students have been successful in getting the placement of their choice. These recruiters offer the average salary in the range of 9.00-12.00 Lakhs per annum. Hi, Placement of B.Tech in instrumentation engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is decent as this branch requires higher education such as M.Tech to get better job opportunities and great salary packages. Below are some of the major companies visited for the placements of B.Tech in instrumentation engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur: Abbot, Accenture, Blue Star, Capgemini, Crompton Greaves, Deloitte, Flipkart, Google, HCL, Hero MotoCorp, etc. The maximum package offered was around 17 LPA. The average package was offered around 5-6 LPA. Greetings from Shiksha! Instrumentation engineering is very good branch of engineering. It is limited seats as compared to other branches of engineering. IIT Kharagpur is one of best IITs well know for quality education and Placements. The placements at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur for Instrumentation Engineering is really good . The placement ratio is almost 90 to 95% placement. The average package is around Rs 8 to Rs 10 lakhs per annum. Many companies like JCB India Limited, Loreal, Barclays Capital, Bosch India,Capgemini, Deutsche Bank, Cognizant, DBS Bank etc takes students from here. This all credit goes to Training and Placement Cell Department of IIT Kharagpur. The placement ratio in IIT, Kharagpur is almost ,95% and in future it will be like this only. Since many Industries are establishing now a days under the Make In India Initiative , so there are possibilities of huge amount of jobs for Instrumentation And Control Engineers. And there also some opportunities of jobs in government sector.

Instrumentation engineering is one of the courses which have a great demand in upcoming years. Industry needs wide variety of Instrumentation engineers ranging from designing, developing, installing and managing equipment used to control and monitor machinery. Though you will land into a high paid job after B.Tech in IE from IIT Kanpur, I suggest you do PG which will further take you to greater heights.
