    Cons:
    First of all, no government organisation or any PSU would consider your degree of mechanical and automation engineering equivalent to a mechanical engineering degree because of which you will not be able to qualify for companies looking for mechanical engineers.
    The number of core companies visiting the campus during a placement season is very less, that being Anglo Eastern Shipping that do offer packages as high as 14 lacs, but then you have to spend around 4 months on the ship.

    Placements of B.Tech in mechanical and automation engineering from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is not as good as computer science engineering. Mechanical and automation core companies which come to campus are limited in number. Most of the student are placed in IT industries at the end. Around 70-80 students of mechanical and automation engineering got placed in the companies like:
    Kanodia Technoplast, IBM, Sopra group, Indian Navy, Indian Airforce, Indian Army, Luminous, Sanmar GR,
    Anglo easternship, Broadridge, W&H, Mu-Sigma, Infosys, Accenture and APL Apollo.
