Mechanical engineering is among the best courses for engineering in terms of training, education, placements, research and further studies. The placements at K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering for mechanical engineering are good. The placement ratio is almost around 70 to 75% placement. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA. Since this Branch Mechanical Engineering is among evergreen field, the Placements of this Branch will increase with good amount of packages. Company like Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra and Reliance are the bulk recruiters. Other than these companies, many companies like Eicher, Adani Group, Ashok Leyland, etc. takes students from here. This all credit goes to Training and Placement Cell Department of K. J. S. College of Engineering. So it is really good to do mechanical engineering from reputed institute or university if someone is really interested in this and is in the search better packages and further studies. So thus the placement ratio of K. J. S. College of Engineering is almost 70 to 75% and in future it will be like this only for mechanical engineering and other top engineering fields. Many opportunities of jobs are there for Mechanical Engineers in government sectors and public sector Undertaking PSUs.

Hello, Mechanical engineering is the base of many engineering branches like automobile, aerospace, mechatronics, aeronautical, production engineering, etc. It is also an evergreen branch as it never loses its scope. A mechanical engineer could opt for any of the specializations above, based on the current trends. With the increasing automation and the impact of IT sectors, the core jobs are available for those who are in the premier institutions or only for those who do some specializations and have some work experience in the field. KJ Somaiya College of Engineering offers good placements for mechanical engineering but the placement scenario is the same that there are only few core companies. The average package would range from 2-4 LPA while the highest package offered as for 2016-17 batch was around 7 LPA. KJ Somaiya College has a good placement cell. The placement cell states that all the eligible students were allowed to sit for placements. Here is the placement record of previous few years for Mechanical Engineering. 2014 batch Total students placed: 87 Maximum salary offered: 5.44 LPA Minimum salary offered: 1.8 LPA Average Salary: 3.4 LPA Total company visited: 49 2015 batch Total student placed: 109 Maximum salary offered: 5.02 LPA Minimum salary offered: 2.16 LPA Average salary: 3.52 LPA Total company visited: 68 2016 Batch Total student placed: 111 Maximum salary offered: 6.5 LPA Minimum salary offered: 2.77 LPA Average salary: 3.77 LPA Total company visited: 60 The average no. of job offers are 725+ for B. Tech students and the minimum and maximum average annual pay package is in the range of 3 LPA to 8 LPA. Hello Students, KJ Somaiya is a well-known name in the academic fraternity of Mumbai / Maharashtra / India. Due to its fame, of course, obtained by hard work of faculty as well as the availability of all required facilities on the campus, this institution is granted the status of the autonomous institute. The record of placements is available on the web page of the institute in detail. It shows a very healthy data. Placements cell of this college appears to be working overtime, for the benefit of students. Of course, the location of the college in the financial capital of India also helps. Analysis of data shows what majority of experts fear, i.e. it's directly proportional to the industrial climate of the country. Some percentage of batch indeed remains unplaced but then it's the scene across all colleges. But to the credit of college, they were able to keep it to the minimum. The packages too are following the universal sample in that few get astronomical while the majority are in the range of industry average. All in all, it is the best choice for students to select!
