    It is an Indian premier institute and the IIT Kanpur has the best placements of the mechanical engineering and the highest pack for this branch is 96 LPA and the average pack is 14.6 LPA plus perks and the big companies like Honda, Hero, Bajaj etc. Visit this college regularly.

    Mechanical Engineering is very good and an evergreen field.
    Talking about the placements of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kanpur, it is almost 100% as seen every year.
    The average package of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Roorkee is around 7 to 9 lakhs per annum.
    Many Multinational Companies visit here and offers the good packages to Mechanical Engineers.
    Companies like Bosch Group, Reliance Industries, Welspun, Larsen and Toubro, Tata Steel, Adani Group, Aditya Birla Group Arcelor Mittal, HPCL, NTPC, ONGC, Tata motors, Tech Mahindra, Ford, General motors, etc.

    Before diving into stats and data, we should know some things. Mechanical engineering is a core branch and it is called 'evergreen' for a reason. It never goes out of trend.     The B.Tech mechanical from IIT kanpur is the most reliable and core branch when compared to all IIts after IIT kharagpur and Madras .
    The placement scenarion is too non varying and consisting since its establishment and start of the 21st century .
    Though the most highest placement can be recorded from the cse and aerospace department which is working effortlessly to become and be remarkable .
    The fact should not be ignored that the evergreen mechanical stream finds its scope in all perspective whether it is cse , ec , automobiles and some touch of IT .

    Hello, mechanical engineering has always been a highly demanded branch across the globe and that too if you have an undergraduate degree from IIT Kanpur, well, it's commendable. Coming to the placements, overall at the end of the year, more than 90% got placed out of those who appeared for the placements. Mechanical engineers do not generally start high on packages (when compared to computer science and earth sciences like petroleum and mining).
