Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee commonly known as IIT R is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India and is located in Roorkee city of Uttarakhand. The college is well known for its strict rules and excellent placement. In mechanical engineering placement is good but only few core companies visit the campus. I think the number of core companies is enough to hire all students who deserve core jobs. You can find the details of the department by visiting the link:-

Dear Aspirant, I am sure that placements of B.Tech in ME at IIT, Roorkee would be great. But being alumni of LPU, I can provide the placement record of this programme at LPU only. It is one of the best private universities in the North with a huge campus and well infrastructure. In the limited period of time, it has grown so much that major recruiters from the industry visit LPU for placement purposes. LPU provides extraordinary academic exposure to its students. It is a UGC-affirmed university that has been positioned well by different organizations on the basis of its infrastructure, its faculty, its placements, its teaching practice

I am not quite aware of placements of B.Tech in mechanical engineering from IIT, Roorkee as Mechanical engineering is the study, design, development, construction, and testing of mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines. Mechanical engineers work mostly in engineering services, research and development, and manufacturing. As per my findings, LPU offers B.Tech in various programs such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc.
    1. LPU has 600+ acres of campus in Punjab and more than 25000+ students study there among many countries.
