NIT-Surathkal ranks 3rd for placements by NASSCOM in the year 2016 and also ranks 22 by NIRF since last two years. For the year 2016-17, 107 out of 113 students were placed in mechanical. Highest package was 22 lpa. Companies that visit include PepsiCo, Bosch, ExxonMobil, L&T, etc.
