I wish placement had a universal objective KPI but unfortunately, currently, it is measured in terms of the number of students who get offer letter at the end of the degree. There's a funny saying- if you get admit into SASTRA, you are a future TCS employee. Every year, atleast 80% of all engineering students get into TCS. And some companies are CGPA biased.
