    The batch of 2017 from mining engineering of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology was left without a job and so the branch offers hundred percent placements in the college. Some of the companies that show up for the placement drive, especially for recruiting mining engineers, along with the number of students recruited in the same company are:
    Lnt Ecc-1
    Coal India Ltd-3
    Nykaa-1
    ZS Associates-1
    Mu sigma-1
    Infosys-1
    3DPLM-1
    MOIL Ltd-5
    Some students even wish to get placed at corporate companies that show up during the placement drive but only a few are allowed to sit for placements in same. Otherwise almost every student gets placed at C

    Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology is among the best national institutes in India to pursue mining engineering.

    VNIT-Nagpur invites various public and private sector organizations for campus recruitment of final year students. During the academic year 2015-16, more than 100 companies visited the campus for Mining Engineering branch. These included all the major companies like Coal India, Reliance Group, Jindal group, L & T Group, Bajaj Auto Limited and some IT roles were offered too by InMobi, Oracle, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, ZS Associates, NMRCL and many more. All these companies offered 496 jobs UG & PG students (403 UG & 93 PG.
    The general placement rate is 70%. The average package is 4.5 lakhs. and the highest package is 27 lakhs.
