How are the placements of B.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from IIT, Madras?

My dear candidate, I'm glad to have you. Actually, placements hold diverse viewpoints. Despite the fact that the members of this department study core subjects, the majority of them are interested in non-core industries including consulting, data analytics, coding, banking, and UPSC. In the non-core field, most of them plan to obtain master's degrees. Every year, 85% of the students get placed. It's great that the college gives students the option to select their career. 70% of students received internship offers. In our department, internships are required for all students. It would be beneficial if you were more interested in the core industry.

Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Placements actually have different opinions. Even though people of this department learn core, most of them are interested in the non-core sector like consultancy, data analytics, coding, banking, and UPSC etc. Most of them want to pursue Masters in the non-core field. Around 85% of the students are placed every year. The college offer freedom to students to choose their career which is excellent. Around 70% of students got internships. Internships are mandatory for students in our department. If you are more interested in the core sector, it would help you.

Statistics of IIT Madras Naval Architecture Placements: Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering gives range of Rs. 4.4 Lacs to Rs. 20 Lacs per annum the highest Package Offered (International) $129,500 per annum. The highest Package Offered (Domestic) Rs 30 Lacs per annum The major careers offered were into Naval Guard, coast Guard, Shipping Coordinator, Navy In Charge, Port Logistics analyst, Cargo Engineer, etc. Major Recruitment companies were Indian Navy worth most offers lead by Shipping Corporation of India, Adani Ports, Jindal Ports, etc. The college provides some practical experience through industrial visits and some great state of art amenities have been designed to gauge the needs.

Hi there, A degree in naval architecture or marine engineering prepares professionals for two different but related careers in the realm of designing ships and the systems that allow ships to run. Either degree would allow a person to work in the Navy or in the private sector, or positions could entail supervising other workers and using computer design software. Scopes After completing your naval architecture course, you can join Indian navy, coast guard as an officer.
