8 years agoProduction and Industrial Engineering is not much different From Mechanical Engineering.It's Just that production and Industrial almost completely ignores the (Thermal Engineering) part which is Included In Mechanical Engineering It Focusses mainly on Manufacturing And Management Related Courses.
Different Companies Have Their Different Eligibility Criteria Either on CGPA(Cumulative Grade Point Average) Or Branch. Delhi Is among the topmost institutes to provide an average package ranging from 7.5-10 lacs PA for production and industrial development.

Production and Industrial Engineering is one of emerging courses in terms of placement and if one pursues this particular course from one of the best institutes of the country, like IIT Delhi it is like icing on a piece of cake.
