    Production and Industrial Engineering is not much different From Mechanical Engineering.It's Just that production and Industrial almost completely ignores the (Thermal Engineering) part which is Included In Mechanical Engineering It Focusses mainly on Manufacturing And Management Related Courses.
    Different Companies Have Their Different Eligibility Criteria Either on CGPA(Cumulative Grade Point Average) Or Branch. Delhi Is among the topmost institutes to provide an average package ranging from 7.5-10 lacs PA for production and industrial development.

    Hello,
    Production and Industrial Engineering is one of emerging courses in terms of placement and if one pursues this particular course from one of the best institutes of the country, like IIT Delhi it is like icing on a piece of cake. As far as the placements are concerned, there are many Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies that come to recruit students on campus. Although, the eligibility criteria on CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) or branch depends on the company .     Production and Industrial Engineering is a very good field of engineering and IIT-Delhi is among the top IITs.
    Talking about the placements of PI Engineering at IIT-Delhi, it is almost 100%.
    The average package of PI Engineering at IIT-Delhi is around 6 to 9 LPA.
    Many multinational companies visit here and offer a good package to quality engineers.

    According to the National Institution Ranking Framework, IIT Delhi ranks 4th among all engineering colleges in India and has seen great global rankings according to Nasscom. Production engineering at IIT, Delhi has a great ROI.
    100 percent placements recorded year on year for production engineering.
    Placement scenarios is as follows:-
    1) Total offers: 124
    2) Average package is Rs 8 lakhs per annum
    3) Median package is Rs 10 lakhs per annum
