How are the placements of B.Tech in Software Engineering from DTU, Delhi?

Placements are quite good here. The average package lies in the range of 8-9 LPA CTC. Companies like Amazon, Zomato, Pepperfry, Cisco, Oracle, Jpmorgan, Morgan stanley, Microsoft, Flipkart, Intuit, Makemytrip, Fractal Analytics, Relinace Industry, Tata Consultancy, etc. recruit the students.The highest package goes as high as 30 LPA. Some international firms also visit here every year. Internship through college is average. Students who have a good GPA are mostly selected for PPOs and also the internship. Infrastructure and Faculty are simply great and college is accredited globally. It is ranked 5th among 'Best Engineering Institutes of India' by India Today in 2016 and moreover, Ranked 39th among 'Top 100 Engineering Institutes in India' by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017. Placements of this college is awesome and every time, this college placements is breaking it's own records and this time the highest pack is INR. 1.95 crore.

Delhi Technological University is one of the best universities in Delhi and India which has many colleges affiliated to it. It is ranked among top 10 engineering colleges in India. Delhi Technological University offers many courses to the students and software engineering is one of them. It offers 93 seats to the students. Delhi Technological University is very famous for its great infrastructure, faculty members with Ph.D degrees and 5 to 10 years of experience and facilities like sports complex, WiFi and labs with better equipment and machines. Software engineering is one of the sister branches of computer science and engineering. There are many major IT companies that come for the placement whether it is of India or foreign and they are as follows: Adobe, Amazon, Bajaj Auto, Cairn India Limited, DirectI, Facebook, Futures First, Goldman Sachs, Google, Hero MotoCorp, Markit, Maruti Suzuki, Nvidia Corporation, Piaggio, PwC, Royal Enfield, Tata, TCS and Walmart. Average salary provided by the companies is about 10 LPA. Hope it helps.

I would highly recommend anyone to take up software engineering at Delhi Technical University as the placement report of the college is sure to never disappoint you here. Unlike any other college that faces the problem of 50% of the batch getting placed in IT corporate companies or mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc., this college manages to deal well with this problem with almost 70% of the batch getting placed in core companies and the remaining 30% being placed in high paying banking jobs on their own will. With that being said the college manages to maintain an average package placement of 12 LPA for the software engineering batch of 2017. The only thing that should be kept in mind is that the acceptance rate of undergraduate students in the college is really low and you need to perform really well in your JEE Mains entrance examination to reserve a seat here. But once you are here and even if you are average at your academics, you need not to worry, the college will take care of the placements for you.

Hi, As far from my knowledge, placements for the students are considered to be the second most placed branch after COE. Placements are great for SE students. Almost every company that is open for COE is also open for SE, rest depends upon how a good programmer you are. Software engineering in DTU has just rebranded computer science. The course is almost same, and the differences, wherever they exist (up till the second year) are meaningless. The faculty consists of 2-3 really good professors like Prof Divya Shikha Sethia and Prof Vinod Kumar. Some professors are involved in active research and have a few publications.The branch itself has pretty good value abroad, even more so if you are able to develop specialized skill sets that match up with certain companies based in the USA. You will have a decent amount of time to work on your interests and explore different areas. It will be best if you are able to narrow down your field of interest by your third semester.The highest package offered to the first batch of SE of 2009 was 60 LPA. You can expect an average package of 6-8 LPA in SE.
