For BE chemical engineering, anything more than 6 LPA would be nice. On an average, one can expect a package of around 4-5 LPA. Placement wise, this is the best department of ICT because in all chemical industries like pharma ,foods, polymers, etc., a chemical engineer is strongly required in one or the other departments like tech transfer, production, various unit operations used in the chemical industries like distillation
