DSCE is a well-known heritage college with ample opportunities for core branches also. However, average package is fairly mediocre at 3.5Lpa and median is 4.5 LPA. Hello, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering offers 16 undergraduate programs leading to 4/5 year Bachelor's degree, 16 post graduate programs leading to 2/3 year master's degree and 21 Research Centers offering 2/5 year M.Sc (engineering)/PhD degree. The Academic degrees are awarded by Visvesvaraya Technological University. The department of Automobile Engineering was started in the year 2009 at Dayananda Sagar colleges of Engineering which is affiliated to VTU and is now autonomous. It has an intake of 60 per year and has gained more reputation. The automobile Department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty members and good infrastructure too. The core placements are good but mostly the mass recruiters are the IT sectors only. Some of the top recruiters are: Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Accenture, TCS, Oracle, Mindtree, Deloitte, Cognizant, Honeywell, Huwaei, Microsoft, Adobe, AMADA-Japan, Wipro and so on. The average package would range from 3-4 lakhs per annum while the highest package is around 10-12 lakhs per annum.

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, started in 1979, was founded by Sri R Dayananda Sagar and is run by the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peeta Trust. It comes in the list of top 10 colleges engineering colleges of Bangalore. It have good academics and placements records. Here is some of the insights of the college. Department has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members in diversified streams and have published papers in reputed national and international journals. The Department has stated Joint Certification Programme in collaboration with BOSCH and the students are trained on Engine Diagnostics and Auto Electricals.
