Biotechnology: Placements are very good and almost 99% gets placed by last year around 350 top companies visited the campus.
Package varies from 3.5 to 21 LPA (as of 2015). Average package will be 4 LPA and median is 7 LPA.

I can say Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. If you re looking for quality education, good placements, exposure, academics then LPU is right place, it has all. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. She told me LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences is equipped with state-of-the-art Bioprocess Engineering and Bioscience labs and believes in imparting knowledge to students through a practical approach to achieve mastery in plant and animal physiology. I can say Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. She told me LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences is equipped with state-of-the-art Bioprocess Engineering and Bioscience labs and believes in imparting knowledge to students through a practical approach to achieve mastery in plant and animal physiology. Faculty members works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Bio sciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community. According to my known, the views shared by her are:
Live projects spread across five semesters help develop research aptitude in students. The course offers specializations in Dairy Technology, Fermentation Technology and Bioinformatics. The curriculum offers prime focus on fundamental and applied aspects of biotechnology. The school encourages R & D activities for students to get the benefit. Many students from LPU have successfully collaborated with foreign universities and research institutions. The deptt also inculcates entrepreneurship opportunities to build job providers of the future. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too. LPU has highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, and NITs etc. Companies like Panacea biotech, Dalmia healthcare, Root anaylsis, Cactus (and the list goes on) visit the campus every year. Also the scope is just not limited to work in the corporate sector in areas like marketing, quality controls or as research associative (for companies like Root anaylsis and cactus) but also the research areas. The curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the students to prepare themselves for giant exams like CSIR NET ICMR, ICAR, and GATE. With an experienced faculty of 30+ in the department who arw ready to help the students round the clock, seven days a week, this institute is one of the best options for the young population to opt for biotechnology.

Ramaiah Institute of Technology, formerly M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, is an autonomous private engineering college located in Bangalore, Karnataka.
As of March 2017, The institute claims to have placed 95% of the overall students across all branches with an average package of 7 lakhs and Highest package of more than 30 lakhs.
