    Chemical engineering deals with the design, development of processes and operation of machines and plants through which the physical or chemical state of materials undergo various changes. Jadavpur university is among top 10 colleges of India, so definitely the placements for every branch is top notch there. Here are some of the insights of the college. Intake: 120 (chemical)

    Placements in Jadavpur University in chemical engineering department are far more superior to any other college on the same scale. 50% of the total batch of 36 students got placed in core chemical companies and some of them willingly chose to go for financial firms or consulting firms.
    The placement for the year 2017 has not been over yet and more than 12 students have got placed in PSU, paying then nothing less than a minimum of 8-9 LPA.
    There are some companies that make rounds during the placement season of the college for the branch of chemical engineering:
    Deloitte, Oracle, Mu Sigma, ZS Associates, Amec Foster Wheeler, Bechtel Indi

    Chemical engineering student have received majority of IT based roles with MNCs, only few core companies have visited.
    Amazon, Microsoft, D.E.Shaw, Samsung (Bangalore, Noida, Delhi ), Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Work Applications (Singapore), SAP Labs, C-DOT, Oracle, Reliance, PriceWaterhouse Cooper, Wipro Turbo, Synopsys, Reve System, Paypermint, Dynamic Digital Technology, Siemens, MU Sigma and many more.
    Work applications offered the highest with the base being 39 LPA in Singapore while Amazon paid 30 LPA. D.E.Shaw visited for the first time and offered 27 LPA, Microsoft offered aprrox 23 LPA. Samsung is offering 16 LPA while Adobe offered
