Based on my observation, you can have plenty of job opportunities for computer science in Dayananda Sagar College but very few for civil engineering (core jobs). But there are some IT companies which hire civil engineers, but again there are few. Altogether, you might get 1 company a month but for CS, every alternate day you can find a company visiting for the placements.
You can check the placements here:

Most of the students suggested not to join Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) as the placement for civil are very feeble and getting a job in core sector is next to impossible.

It is one of the most reputed private colleges in South India. Civil Engineering students mostly get placed in IT Companies like TCS, Dell, HP, etc. The salaries offered by these companies vary from 3.5 to 5.5 LPA depending on your software programming knowledge. There are a few core companies too, but the package is comparatively lower. So, it totally depends on the type of sector you want to work in.
