Punjab Engineering College, University of technology is one best college under JAC Chandigarh. Earlier it was under prestigious Punjab University but later it was upgraded to a state university. The university has not grown much after established of IIT, Roper. Placement is still very good for all branches. Civil engineering department has average package of 4-5 LPA and the highest package is around 12 LPA.
