How are the placements of BE in Computer Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai (RGIT, Mumbai)?

Any of college placement depends on their students and students depends on the teachers (how they teach them and what type of projects, assignments they give them) and the major thing is how do students understand their own subjects and how much knowledge do they grasp and present to the recruiter. And Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology is having a good campus. All the professors are good in terms of their way of concerned experience, good in communication and help students in all of their subjects and projects. They also conduct workshops time to time. Internships are not provided by the college, but anyone wishing to do an internship at any other firm can get a letter of recommendation from there respective head of the department. The major companies that visit this college for recruitment include: 1: Mahindra and Mahindra 2: Cap Gemini 3: Voltas 4: Blue star 5: Siemens 6: Infosys 7: TCS 8: L&T In 2016 - 2017, some companies provided these packages: Bajaj auto Package - 3.25 lakh, Tech Mahindra Package 3.2 lakh, Infosys Package - 3.2lakh, L&T Package- 4 lakh, Godrej & Ponds Package - 3.5 lakh. 70-75% placement in companies is done from the institute. Most of the companies were interested in aptitude test followed by a personal interview. Few companies also had a cut-off percentage of 60% to appear for placement. Every year, there is a change the placement packages and companies due to which I would rate it 7 out of10 in terms of placement.

The field of data engineering, software developer, system engineer, support system engineer database Management etc. are the major profile for the computer science graduate .If you are competent enough you can easily get a great start . The computer graduate are getting jobs in the company like TCS INFOSYS WIPRO ACCENTURE IBM MICROSOFT etc. all the IT Giants offering the package from minimum 4 lakhs per annum to about 15 lakh per annum. The overall placements have been as follows for the year 2016 were as follows: Min. Package-2.70 LPA Max. Package- 6 LPA Avg. The Department of Computer Engineering was established in the year 1995. The department conducts various seminars for preparing them for various aptitude tests and interviews. Moreover, the department organizes different training programs like campus connect initiated by Infosys and other leading industries.
