How are the placements of BE in Computer Engineering from Thapar University?

Thapar University-Patiala has very good Placement record in CS dept. A separate Computer department is in process, which has almost all kinds of facility/course/labs related to computer. Average package of Computer Engineering in the year 2016 was around INR 8 Lacs per annum. The highest Package offered (Domestic) was INR 18.5 Lacs per annum (Wallmart and De Shaw) and international package was INR 32 Lacs per annum. Companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, Amazon, Deshaw, etc. visited the university. Placement is almost 100 percent for Computer engineering branch. Studying COE/CSE in Thapar University is a boon itself. The only lack I feel is, there is a lot of students in this dept. Almost 1000 students will be taken from Computer branch only.
