It has slowly gained popularity and today attracts top talent. It caters to students who have passed the Maharashtra state board's HSC and CET examinations and desire to take up enigineering as their profession.

The placements at Vidyalankar Institute of Computer Science Engineering is really good. The placement ratio is almost 85% placement. The average package is around Rs 3 to Rs 4 lakhs per annum.
Since this branch is among the evergreen field, the placement of this branch will increase with the good amount of packages. many companies like Infosys, TCS, L&T Group, Tech Mahindra etc takes students from here. This all credit goes to Training and Placement Cell Department of VIT. So it is really good to do computer science engineering from good Institutes for better packages.

Vidyalankar Institute of Technology or VIT-Pune is a below average college which offered an average placement package of 3.5 Lacs in computer science engineering branch for the year 2017.
