Birla tag line can help you getting preference in the off campus recruitment in all the companies of Birla. Placement scenerio is not very good at present time as it was 4-5 years before but you will definitely get placed at the end of your engineering career. A friend of mine who is currently studying there told me that highest package was around 26.97 lpa and average package is around 6.8 lpa. 90% placement is there and rest 10% opt for higher studies.
