How are the placements of BE in CSE from RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT)?

RNS Institute of Technology located in the corporate city of Bangalore. When it comes to placements, many companies visit the campus for recruitment drive every year. This year, the following companies visited this college: ICICI bank, Sony, igate, Airtel, sap, TCS, etc. The college is not up to the mark in academics and can be only compared to private colleges of its level. Also, the college does not have a benchmark achievement in developing its particular department and lacks in the effortless working to be on the top of the list. One has to maintain a CGPA of above 9 to prove him or her worthy enough for the placement session. The average placement from computer science engineering branch is around 6 lakhs per annum highest being 12 lakhs for an extraordinary mind in Samsung. More precisely, the infrastructure is modern though not vibrant. So, make a wise decision and consider the academics as a major parameter but not the placements. Hope it helped. Thank you.

Hi, RNSIT have really got great placement opportunities for undergrads and especially for B.Tech in CSE. But for post grads its poor. The following is the number of students getting placed in CS department: 2014- 148 2015- 177 2016- 160 You can check out the list of students placed in this year along with company names and students branch in here: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://goo.gl/1Q6Rhp" style='word-wrap:break-word;'>https://goo.gl/1Q6Rhp</a> RNSIT is not an exception when it comes to place post graduate students, its similar in all of the institutions. Companies doesn't want to hire post grad students for many reasons. Companies doesn't want to pay higher packages to post grads for the same job just because they have shelled two more years for nothing. Companies have got policies about jobs and corresponding qualifications. Only 3 out of 17 in my class secured internships and 1 out 17 secured job through college placements. You can do the math, right? My advice is don't enroll in Masters Program of RNSIT or any level colleges with hope of getting placed unless you are too good and have a bit of luck on your side.
