How are the placements of BE in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University?

To my surprise, a large number of core companies came to the campus which is shocking because usually this is not seen in any other college you're almost 50% of the students in every batch is placed in corporate IT companies. The core companies which visited the campus during the placement season offer packages of nothing less than 12 Lacs per annum and large number of students are also offered foreign training opportunities which is something really big for an electrical engineering student. The placement in other branches like mechanical was even better than and comparison to electrical engineering branch which has more number of core companies visiting for recruitment.

Until now the replacement for electrical engineering students for the year 2017 has not been over and 60 students have been placed for which 65 offers were made this year, which are 10 more than the number of offers made in the previous year. To my surprise, a large number of core companies came to the campus which is shocking because usually this is not seen in any other college you're almost 50% of the students in every batch is placed in corporate IT companies. The core companies which visited the campus during the placement season offer packages of nothing less than 12 lakh per annum and large number of students are also offered foreign training opportunities which is something really big for an electrical engineering student. The placement in other branches like mechanical was even better than and comparison to electrical engineering branch which has more number of core companies visiting for recruitment One can surely make a decision to take admission and this university for electrical engineering branch as it is going to ensure you the best of placements.

Core offers for Electrical Engineering:- Vedanta Resources - 7 students ( Approx. 9 Lacs per annum) Reliance Chemicals- 11 students (Approx. 6 Lacs pa) Honeywell - 2 students ( Approx 12 Lacs pa) ZS Associates - 2 Students (Approx 8 Lacs pa) Thermax - 2 students ( Approx 7 lpa) H.P.L - 4 students ( Approx 6 lpa) I.T.C - 2 students (Approx 6 lpa) Hindustan Unilever- 3 students ( Approx 8 Lacs) MRCs A total of 21 students were selected in Mass Recruiting Companies offering a package of around 3.2 Lacs pa for IT based roles. For 2016 batch of Electrical Engineering:- RECRUITERS Amazon, Microsoft, D.E.Shaw, Samsung (Bangalore, Noida, Delhi ), Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Work Applications (Singapore), SAP Labs, C-DOT, Oracle, Reliance, Pricewaterhouse Cooper, Wipro Turbo, Synopsys, Reve System, Paypermint, Dynamic Digital Technology, Siemens, MU Sigma and many more. Work applications offered the highest with the base being 39 LPA in Singapore while Amazon paid 30 LPA. D.E.Shaw visited for the first time and offered 27 LPA, Microsoft offered aprrox 23 LPA. Samsung is offering 16 LPA while Adobe offered 22 LPA and the list goes on.
