How are the placements of BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PES University?

PES University is ranked among the top 100 universities in India by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017. MoU with IIT Bombay for research and development activities and for programs leading to Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees: Academic collaboration with Safran Engineering Services India (SESI) to entail a series of projects for students and cater to the fields of electrical, mechanical and systems engineering. The placements are the best and that is the exact reason why PES is extremely hard to get in through CET. The placements in the college are good. Most of the offers come from software based companies. So 90 percent of the students studying in CSE and ECE get placed. The average salary is around Rs. 8 LPA Reputed companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Amazon also make participation in placements. The vibrant academic culture, industry interface and collaborating with research organizations help students to choose an area that interests them most. Many of the students opt for pursuing higher studies in top global universities, leading management or technology institutes. Internships at leading corporates and research institutions and working towards building a start-up is chosen by a few. Building a career with leading Indian companies, MNCs and civil services is the choice of many of the students.

PES University is one of the best private colleges of Karnataka as well as of Bangalore. It is known for its IT infrastructure faculties with experience in teaching and facilities provided by them like labs, Wi-Fi and sports complex are very good. It ranks 49 in list of top engineering colleges of India. It offers many courses out of which electronics and communication engineering easy course in which it takes about 90 students. There are many companies that come for the placement of electronics and communication engineering and they are as follows: Accenture | Amazon | Ashok Leyland | Bosch Ltd | Cisco Systems | HCL | HP | IGATE | Infosys | ITC Infotech | L T | MCube Financial | Microsoft | Mphasis | NOKIA | Oracle | SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC | Siemens | Tesco HSC | volvo | Wipro | Yahoo The above mentioned companies are the companies that visit for the placement every year. Average package offered by these companies is about 6.5 LPA. Highest package offered by these companies is about 24 LPA. PES University ECE students have a fairly good placement because good companies only hire very few and not in bulk. Still many options are there. Here are few records about placement for ECE: In 2014-15 Batch: 1 student got placed in Nvidia with a package of 6.5 LPA. 26 students got placed in Ericsson, 4 students got placed in MU Sigma, 6 students got placed in Sapient and a total of 37 students got placed having with the salary package ranges from 3.5 to 6.5 LPA. 24 students got placed in Accenture, 15 students got placed in Cognizant, 4 students got placed in Tata Elxsi, 3 students in Wipro and in total 48 students got placed having a salary up to 3.5 LPA. 2015-16 ECE Batch placement record: 1 student placed in Infinera having a salary of Rs. 8.00 LPA. 16 students got placed in Wipro, 3 students got placed in Sapient, 6 students got placed in Robert Bosch and total 30 students got placed having the salary package ranging from Rs. 4 to 8 LPA. 16 students got placed in Accenture, 23 students in Ericsson India, 15 students in Infosys, 4 students in Tata Elxsi and 4 students in Capgemini. Greetings from Shiksha!! Electronics and communication engineering is very good course of Engineering. PES University is good University in every terms like training education and Placements. Talking about the placements at PES University for electronics and communication engineering is good. The placement ratio is almost 70% placement. The average package is around Rs 3 to Rs 4 lakhs per annum. . Many companies like Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant etc takes students from here. This all credit goes to training and placement cell department of PES University. So it is really good to do electronics and communication engineering from a reputed institute or university if someone is really interested and is in the search of better packages and further studies. The placement ratio of PES University is almost 85 % and in future, it will be like this only for electronics and communication engineering and other top engineering fields. In future there will be more generation of Jobs for EC Engineers as IT is growing very much in our country.

PES is one of above average universities in India. It is ranked 86th in the rankings of engineering colleges by National Institute Ranking Framework. Only 1 student got the package of more than 8 LPA CTC from Inferna. 30 students got CTC between 4 to 8 LPA from companies like Siemens, Oracle and Just Dial. 72 students got a package less than 4 LPA CTC from companies like Accenture, Infosys and Volvo. So, overall placements were decent at PES. Hi, PES University is one of the good universities if you are looking for a reputed private engineering college. Now, coming back to your question, as per the sources, a variety of companies with varying agendas visit the campus during placements and the students have a lot of fields to choose from. The only regret is that the core jobs are decreasing rapidly and students are being forced to go into a different field because there are no jobs in their field of study. As per the stats available, 95% of the students get placed every year from ECE branch with wonderful job profiles in average to high profile companies. The average package is somewhere around 4.5 LPA (in 2016-2017). CGPA is an important criterion. People say CGPA isn't important, but it is. Apart from good placements, PES University offers a really good environment for students to meet diverse and highly self-motivated students who wish to achieve something great in their life. I would suggest adapting some coding skills if you get admission in ECE branch in PES, it will help you a lot.
