    NIE academic years, 60 IT Companies and 30 non-IT Companies visited campus and select the students. And around 2300 offers have been made through campus placement in last five years. If we talked about 2016- 17 then we can say 370 students placed and around 50 companies visited the campus and placed students. Majer company: TCS, Mercedes Benz, Accenture, Larsen & Toubro Ltd, ABB Ltd, SAP Labs and Bharat Electronics Ltd, GE Digital, CISCO, INTUIT.     National Institute of Engineering founded in 1946 and it is the oldest government college of India and fully functional ISO 9001:2008 certified training and placement division. It has a student strength of around 3600 and a large and vibrant faculty and a number of students placed from the campus recruitment activity are increasing every year and 90% students get a good job.

    National Institute of Engineering is one of the oldest and the best government colleges in India.
    It comes under the top 10 ranked of colleges in India.
    It is known for its infrastructure, campus, faculties and facilities provided by them like labs with the better equipment and machines which helps the students to gain hands-on experience in electronics and communication engineering which In thus helps students to get good placements.

    The college was set up in the year 1946, has managed to maintain a good reputation over the years and is the second oldest college in Karnataka.
    Placements at NIA have always been appealing but the highest packages are always scored by the computer science branch.
    Nevertheless, the electronics and communication engineering branch has also managed to make a mark in the placement report of 2012 to 2016
    431 offers were made in the year 2012, followed by 329 offers in 2013, then 415 offers in 2014 followed by 584 of us in 2015 and 631 offers in 2016 in total.

    During the academic years 2012 to 16 we had the privilege of being visited by 80+ companies including 60 IT-companies and 30 non-IT companies. A total of 2,400 offers have been made through campus recruitment in the last five years. For the year 2016-17 till date we have 370 students placed and 52 companies visited the campus.
