    Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai is a decent college providing 100% placement for computer science and information technology branches but it is not so for mechanical branch.
    This is because less than 2 or sometimes no core companies visit the campus during placement season because of which the students have to suffer by taking up IT, banking, marketing jobs which renders the mechanical degree to be a waste.
    If you just want to get in the branch because of placements and you have no other option but this college then you can consider getting admission here because even if you fail to perform well in your academics, you are go

    Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology is an institute affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It offers the Bachelor of Engineering undergraduate course, which is its flagship course, in five disciplines.
    The courses offered by the college are as follows:1) Computer engineering.2) Electronics & Telecom3) Information Tech.4) Instrumentation engineering.5) Mechanical engineering.
    The Highest package received was around 4.5 Lakhs and the lowest was around 3 lakhs. Around 30 - 40 % of the students have been placed in mechanical engineering according to their latest reports. The mechanical people are also given a chance to sit for IT companies
